"Preston North End are delighted that the Planning Committee of Preston City Council today passed our planning application for the privately owned land at Ingol.
This planning application gives a balanced long term solution to the land at Ingol and will include a substantial area of new public open space as well as the site for our planned new state of the art training facilities.
In being grateful to the members of the planning committee for their decision we would also especially like to thank the thousands of our supporters who have backed us in this project, our local paper, the Lancashire Post and in particular John Kelly who played a crucial role in organising the petition of support that was presented to the City Council.
We will now start the hard work of turning the planning consent into reality."
