Oggi il Chairman Maurice Lindsay ha voluto fare un comunicato ufficiale per spiegare quali sono stati i motivi che lo hanno tenuto lontano dal Club in questi mesi; Lindsay è rimasto per un lungo periodo in ospedale in seguito ad un'operazione sostenuta alla fine del mese di agosto e soltanto da poco si è ripreso ed è quindi potuto tornare a seguire le vicende del North End.
Lindsay ha rassicurato i tifosi dicendo che si cercherà di risolvere questa spiacevole situazione dovuta ai pessimi risultati della squadra e che presto parlerà con loro.
Questo il comunicato ufficiale comparso sul sito del Pne:
"There is a simple explanation for my recent silence, I have had a lengthy stay in hospital and have only recently been released.
"I entered hospital at the end of August for a knee replacement operation, but unfortunately suffered from a blood infection afterwards. As a result I spent several weeks in a hospital bed on a constant drip.
"Although I am now out of hospital I cannot say that I am at full speed. I am nearly there and will provide further updates to the supporters soon.
"In the meantime we are doing what we can to help the current situation on the pitch which includes the two new loan signings we made last Thursday.
"I hope this explains my absence which I have not made very public but I am happy for the supporters to hear."
