A Deepdale si sta già lavorando per la prossima stagione e il Club ha diramato la lista dei giocatori che verranno rilasciati ed ha spiegato la situazione dei giocatori in scadenza di contratto il prossimo anno e di quelli che invece sono ancora sotto contratto.
Questo il comunicato ufficiale rilasciato quest'oggi dal sito internet del PNE:
Andreas Arestidou, Aaron Brown, Michael McLellan, Daniel Devine, Scott Leather, David Gray, Alex Billington, Iain Turner, Ian Ashbee, Jamie Douglas, Seanan Clucas, George Miller, Dominic Comrie and Nicky Hunt
will be leaving the Club.
Neil Mellor, who is also out of contract, has sadly announced his retirement from the game due to injury.
A number of players who still have one year to go on their contracts have been informed that they will be made available for transfer:
Bailey Wright, Barry Nicholson, Brian McLean, Juvhel Tsoumou, Keammar Daley, Conor McLaughlin and Darel Russell.
Loan players
Rhys Murphy, Chuks Aneke and Max Ehmer
have all returned to their parent clubs following the end of their temporary stays at Deepdale.
Jamie Proctor and Danny Mayor have informed the Club that they would wish to move on to play at a higher level if the opportunity arises. At the time of writing there has been no interest from other clubs in either of these players and both remain contracted players.
Paul Parry and Luke Clark are currently in discussions with the Club regarding their future.
Iain Hume and Paul Coutts are both contracted to the Club next season. There has been speculation regarding offers being made for their services. Again at the time of writing no offers have been received for either player.
Thorsten Stuckmann, Chris Robertson, Craig Morgan, Andy Procter, Chris Holroyd, Graham Cummins, Will Hayhurst and Adam Barton are contracted players who at this time remain under contract with the Club.
Quindi ben 18 giocatori lasceranno sicuramente il Pne contando quelli che verranno rilasciati, quelli che ritorneranno ai propri Club e, purtroppo, Mellor, costretto a ritirarsi.
Altri 7 sono stati praticamente messi sul mercato, mentre ancora in dubbio il futuro di 6 giocatori dato che Parry e Clark stanno discutendo i propri contratti, mentre Mayor, Proctor, Hume e Coutts sono ancora sotto contratto, ma hanno avuto il permesso di valutare eventuali offerte ricevute o che riceveranno.
Soltanto 8 giocatori sembrano avere un futuro sicuro a Deepdale e di questi solo Morgan e Barton sono giocatori che da qualche anno militano nel Club... mentre Stuckmann, Robertson, Procter, Holroyd e Cummins sono arrivati a stagione in corso (alcuni espressamente richiesti da Westley).
Discorso a parte per Hayhurst, un giovane promettente al quale, giustamente, il Club vuole offrire un contratto.
Queste liste lasciano qualche perplessità, soprattutto per quanto riguarda un giocatore giovane ed importante come Danny Mayor che, secondo il mio modesto parere, dovrebbe essere un giocatore su cui costruire la squadra del futuro e quindi al quale dare la massima fiducia.
Speriamo davvero che si riesca a fare un bel lavoro per poter allestire una squadra in grado di lottare per la promozione in Championship anche se queste rivoluzioni di massa spesso comportano seri rischi e spesso non rappresentano la giusta via per costruire una squadra vincente.
Trattenere giocatori come Mayor, Hume, Parry e Coutts sarebbe fondamentale per costruire una squadra forte e pronta per dare finalmente delle soddisfazioni ai tifosi.
