Purtroppo altra brutta notizia per il North End che nella partita contro il Bristol, oltre ad aver perso malamente il match, ha perso anche Conor Mc Luaghlin, vittima di un brutto infortunio.
Ovviamente auguro al giovane Conor di riprendersi il prima possibile e spero che questo infortunio non vada a complicare la sua crescita e la sua carriera.
Manager Phil Brown confirmed that young Northern Irish U21 full back Conor McLaughlin had fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle in the injury that saw him stretchered from the field just before half-time in the home defeat to Bristol City.
"Conor has fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle as well and it is the dislocation that is the complicating factor," confirmed the boss. "It's a real disappointment because he is a good kid and a player who is at the beginning of his career and this is a set back.
"He'll got to the hospital tonight in Manchester and probably get a pot on it for about six weeks and he'll be out for a while now.
"It's disappointing because he's been on top of his game. The national squad were here to watch him today and he was part and parcel - as he has been since I arrived - of a good performance. Unfortunately it is one of those freak accidents but I am sure Conor is strong enough to come back from it."
