COME ON ADAM!!!!

"Following Adam Barton's first half injury against Walsall on Saturday afternoon, manager Graham Westley and team mate Alex Marrow have publicly shown their support for the midfielder

Speaking about the talented 21-year-old, Westley said: "Adam [Barton] has suffered a nasty dislocation in his ankle, he is back from hospital and they have been great with dealing with him very promptly.

"He will have an operation in the morning, it is to early to put a time frame on the injury but having done a very similar injury myself it was probably four months until I was back in training

"Hopefully they will get the operation right the first time, he will probably have a couple of screws and plates to put it together and with a bit of luck he will be back for pre-season training.

"I haven't asked the question how it happened, I didn't want to take Adam back to the moment and I didn't get a great view of the incident because it was on the far side.

"I feel for Adam, he has been terrific since I have been here, he has been in really good form and he is an exciting prospect.

"It is a little bit of a knock for him but the best players are the ones who deal with these kinds of negative situations and come away stronger.

"The medical staff were fabulous, they were prompt and effective and he wasn't in any real pain on the ground, they were there very quickly with the injection and the oxygen, he was handled exemplary."

Barton's team mate Marrow followed on from his manager by saying: "All the lads would like to send Adam [Barton] our best wishes.

"He came back to the stadium after the game and all the lads had chance to wish him well.

"You don't wish an injury like that on anybody, especially your team-mate. So we hope he can make a speedy recovery and can be back with us soon."

Preston North End Football Club would like to send their best wishes to Adam and hope he makes a speedy recovery.
