Preston North End can now confirm that Matty James has officially returned to Manchester United following the completion of all the relevant paperwork.
James, who was on a season long loan with North End, was halfway through his second loan spell with the Lilywhites but has now returned to his parent club.
The midfielder made 30 appearances for North End, scoring three times, with arguably the most memorable goal coming in last season's 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest at Deepdale.
