Comunicato del Club riguardante le speculazioni di un Takeover

Ognuno la pensa a modo suo, forse il mio pensiero non sarà condiviso da molti tifosi del Preston North End che, giustamente, sognano di poter vedere la propria squadra giocare un giorno in Premier League, sognano di poter vedere grandi giocatori vestire la gloriosa maglia bianca dei Lilywhites, sognano finalmente di poter avere un pò di gloria attraverso risultati importanti, e quindi si augurano che possano arrivare dei nuovi proprietari con soldi freschi da mettere sul mercato per rinforzare la squadra. 

Tutto giusto, anche io spero di raggiungere questi obiettivi, ma voglio farlo attraverso le capacità del nostro manager, dei giocatori che abbiamo e di quelli che con sforzi economici ed intuizioni tecniche riusciremo ad aggiungere alla nostra rosa, voglio farlo con una proprietà che ama per davvero il Club e che oltre ai soldi ci mette anche il cuore nel gestirla con passione ed amore.

Ed allora io sono contento che le speculazioni di un Takeover siano, almeno per ora, state allontanate, il possibile acquirente americano aveva già dimostrato di non avere per davvero a cuore il Preston North End dato che era inizialmente interessato ad acquisire il Derby County, "ripiegando" poi sul PNE per l'impossibilità di arrivare ai Rams.

La Famiglia Hemmings resta al suo posto e continuerà a gestire con passione il Club come sta facendo da tanti anni, dopo la morte di Mr Trevor c'erano stati dei dubbi sul fatto che si sarebbe proseguito su questa via, ma ieri, attraverso le parole di Ridsdale, il PNE ha chiarito la propria posizione confermando che tutto resterà invariato, questo l'articolo comparso sul sito ufficiale:

"There has recently been public speculation with regard to the future ownership of Preston North End Football Club.

Since the untimely death of Mr Hemmings last October there have been a number of enquiries with regard to a potential change in the ownership of the club.

In February, an acceptable offer was received from one interested party and a period of exclusivity and confidentiality was entered into. This was to enable due diligence on the club to be done and all the required approvals for change of ownership of the club to be sought from the EFL by the potential buyer. This exclusivity period has now ended.

To date there has not been a confirmed offer at the previously agreed price made to the owners. Neither has there been any of the required submissions made to the EFL for consent to a change of ownership.

As of today we are not engaged with any party.

The Hemmings family have been dedicated owners of PNE for many years and remain committed to the future management and funding of the Club.

Speculation at any time can be distracting not just for the manager and players but for all employees of the football club. Therefore we are sure that following this statement everyone will get behind Ryan Lowe and the team as we enter the last eight games of the season."
