A MESSAGGE FROM THE CARETAKER MANAGER

Dear ...,
It’s a strange feeling to be in this position, but being a Preston lad, it’s a proud strange feeling.
I’ve been asked to run the Club from day to day, and that is exactly what I’ll do. I won’t be getting ahead of myself, I just want to make sure the players are as prepared as they can possibly be.
We are all professionals here, and we’ve got a professional job, and that is what we’ll do. The players applied themselves magnificently at training this morning and were very professional in the way they conducted themselves.
I’ve worked closely with Jamie Hoyland and Dean Ramsdale for the last 18 months and I feel it’s right that they’ll be assisting me in this role. They’ve got a great relationship with the first team players so it’s the natural thing to have them involved.
I ask every Preston fan to turn out for their team this Saturday against Derby County.
It’s a bit of a rallying cry, but your team really does need you. We can’t get out of the situation we’re in without your help. It’s going to be tough, it’s going to be a scrap, so we need the supporters because nobody has ever achieved anything without good supporters.
If you can give us that vocal support, I’m sure it can go a long way towards helping us to get out of this terrible situation.
It will be a tough game, but if ever there was a time for the supporters to come out in force, it’s now.

Best wishes,

David Unsworth
Caretaker Manager
